			NEIL MELANSON was in the Navy for seven years and a Special Agent in the Federal Air Marshal Service doing counter terrorism work for five years. His desire was to compete in MMA competition, but after losing sight in one eye due to Behcets disease, he was unable to follow that path. Melanson dedicates his time to his students and constantly works on perfecting his teaching skills. Instead of simply focusing on how techniques are done, he also teaches why they work and how they fit into the bigger picture.
